Why We’re Telling Our 125+ Year Story Now

Why We’re Telling Our 125+ Year Story Now

Every Fourth of July, America celebrates its history, but some stories don’t make it into textbooks.

This one is stitched into the western shirts worn on dusty roads, under stage lights, and in rodeo arenas across the country. Since 1897, HBarC Ranchwear has existed through the clothes we make, worn by rodeo stars, rock musicians, and everyday rebels. You’ve seen our styles on silver screens and small-town dance floors. But we’ve never really told our story in our own words.

We figured Independence Day was the right time to start.

We’ve Been Around Since 1897. So Why Start Talking Now?

The short answer: because no one tells our story better than we can.

Lately, we’ve seen a resurgence in Western style, from vintage collectors to high-fashion runways. But while boots and pearl snaps may be trending, we’ve always believed this is more than a moment. This is culture. This is heritage. And for us, it’s personal.

This blog is a space to reflect on where we’ve been, share how things get made, and celebrate the people who carry HBarC into the future,  whether they’re wearing a well-worn shirt or discovering us for the first time.

What You’ll Find Here

  • A look back at defining moments in our 125+ year history
  • Stories from the folks who wear, sell, and style HBarC today
  • Features on vintage pieces, cultural influences, and collaborations
  • Occasional dispatches from the road; events, product launches, and shop visits

Whether you’re drawn to classic Western cuts or curious about our vintage archive, we hope this blog gives you a deeper look into the brand and the people behind it.

We’re Proud of Our Legacy

HBarC has always been part of the American story, just not always on the loudest stage. We’ve outfitted cowboys, crooners, and characters of all kinds. This blog isn’t about catching up to the conversation. It’s about reminding folks we’ve been part of it all along.
